I Love This Truck — I bought this truck new in 1987 and have owned it for almost 26 years. It has been extremely reliable. I have only had to replace the starter and the clutch. It still has the original water pump and alternator. I have only had to replace the front break pads twice and the rear breaks have never needed to be replaced. Since I've always lived close to where I work, it only has about 120,000 miles on it. Over all, I have really enjoyed owning this truck and have no plans to replace it.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: looks good.....economical to operate and maintain

Cons: It has a four cylinder 22-R engine so it's not exactly a ball of fire when it comes to power but it's not bad.

<3 One Hundred Percent — an almost indestructible, see top gear's attempt to destroy one, at about 270,000 she's middle aged but runs like a champion, gas is pretty good when i keep my foot out of it, and for the price I've paid she's the best so far, in short she ain't pretty but i love her anyways

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: the whole damn thing

Cons: ...nothing?

Good Enough For Okinawa — So lifted this truck back in Okinawa which caused me to pay the same JCI and road tax as a dump truck drivin there. Price to pay for 4" lame. I had 35" tires nerf bar brush gaurd and the mighty 22r 4cyliner that was good for everything but goin up hill on the streets

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Just a fun truck

Cons: HP lack there of

Greatest Most Reliable Truck I've Ever Owned, — This is definitely this best running truck I have ever owned! I never had one single problem with this truck, it has the 22R (carborated) engine. I couldn't have asked for a more reliable truck. It pulled the 37"s like they were stock tires.. AMAZING!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros: its perfect for outdoors and hauling.. or hell even daily driving!

Cons: none.

Awesome Little Truck That Never Disappoints — Great little truck, has let me down only once (aftermarket fuel pump gave out), is an Xtra Cab since I'm tall, has never gotten stuck, has been upgraded with SR5 parts, and has the indestructible 22R 4 cylinder along with the G52 5 speed manual transmission with over 245,000 miles.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Extremely reliable, good gas mileage

Cons: Has no power, almost always has quirks

Miss It! — I love trucks. This was my first car I ever had. I learned to drive a stick shift on it. I was insanely in love with this truck and I still am. It was all steel, straight axeled and amazing :)

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: mudding :)

Cons: overheats :(

Headache, But Worth It — "The beds are apparently made of rust with a thin coat of the same paint they put on headers." (S'funny because it's true) My 87 2wd If you fix the head gasket, the battery will die. Install a carb, and the tail-lights will go out. Put in a deck, and the timing chain will untime itself. Get new spark plugs, and the exhaust system kisses asphalt.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Transportation, Hauling Capabilties

Cons: Not the toughest-looking truck you ever saw
