Dont Waste Your Time, Then Again I Dont Think There Are Any Left. — Hated the mess out of this car. It decided to break down every month, required an engine rebuild at 50k mi., and yet another rebuild at 100k. I was truly grateful to be able to sell this to another individual. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: it was red Cons: everything. ![]() Looking for a Used Shadow in your area?CarGurus has 3 nationwide Shadow listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

A Muscle Car On A Budget — I traded a Honda Civic to buy this car. What an impression! The 2.2L turbo four would burn rubber in 1st and 2nd, chirp the Gatorback tires in 3rd, navigate the tightest turns as if on rails and deliver 24 mpg around town (more if I could only keep my foot out of it)! The Shadow turbo was a muscle car on a budget and never failed to turn heads. After about 80,000 miles it developed engine troubles that couldn't be resolved and required parts that were in short supply, but the first 5 years were a KICK! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Acceleration, cornering, braking Cons: Engine accessories, short turbo lifespan |
