This Is A Chep Drivers Reliable Drivers Car. — There is nothing that come close to drtiving a nimble, mid engined, rear wheel drive car. That is the closest you come to a real racing car, it feels like the engine is bolted to your spine, and you and the car are one. Pros: The pure feeling Cons: No back seats ![]() Looking for a Used MR2 in your area?CarGurus has 8 nationwide MR2 listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

It's Great For Me — This car is great to drive. It's fun, fast and good at turning fast. The dash is cracked, but other than that the interior is awesome. It's good on gas so that helps me alot. We're planning on taking it to the body shop soon so we can get a few dings out. The acceleration is great, but I'm having trouble with the clutch and gas. It needs new brakes, and power steering is not included. Not that this car needs it. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: It's pretty fast and handles well Cons: It's an older car |

The One Car I Will Always Judge Sports Cars, Or Any Car For That Matter, On — It's not the fastest, it's not the most expesive, nor the most exotic car in the world. For the money, the size, and what is was built for, it is the best car money can buy. Handles like its on rails ! Great acceleration, awesome braking ! The fit and finish is awesome ! Everything fits perfect, no clutter, no usless nonscence in the driver seat. What you need, and nothing more Great on gas, powered by the tiny (and famous) 4AGE Toyota engine (same one that powers the RWD mid-80's carolla's) Very little servicing needed. I said it once and I'll say it again; Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, best car money can buy for fun factor and just plain old coolness ! Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Most fun you can ever have with your clothes on (depending on how you drive) Cons: If it needs body repair or major engine/drivetrain issues, it's gonna break the bank ! |

The Poor Man's Lotus — possibly the greatest car ever built. The handling quality is unmatched and makes up for the lack of horse power. The gear ratios are perfect for a mid engine car. The little 4age behind you loves revs and there's nothing like having that thing screaming behind you. It gets amazing gas mileage. The car is also amazingly unique unlike the run of the mill hondas or anything today. In my opinion it looks better than the two generations after it, one must respect it. There is nothing like carving a corner in the first generation midship runabout Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: too many to list Cons: non perfect weight distribution |

Its Ok — dont get one unless its manual and/or 88-89 super or turbo. does not move under 4000RPMs gets up to about 60 pretty quick after that. will build up to 90 decently. would make a good fast car with a 2.0 Blacktop 5spd swap Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: fun small headturner Cons: if it is auto |

Love It. — I didn't hate it at all! Car was awesome, ran like a champ, even with 200k miles on it. Had a little problem with electrical in the beginning, but turned out to be the alternator. Unfortunately, I got the car hit by someone, and it's sitting in a grave yard right now. I hope to get mine back, or get another one. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Nice for long trips, comfortable, heater is EXTREMELY good Cons: Don't get it if you want to carry more than two passengers |

1986 Na Mr2 — Mine is NA, so it's not the fastest thing in a straight line. Braking was fine, but I never bedded the brakes, so they could have been better. Handles excellently! (needs a spare tire in the frunk to fix the small amount of understeer that I get) Mine needed a lot of repairs, but that was because the person I bought it from tried to fix everything with duct tape, and melted latex gloves. Looks great from far away, because the paint is really sloppy up close. Mileage was around 30mpg, and it's a challenge to work on. The car is SOO much fun to drive :]. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Excellent handling, strong engine, looks great, can badmouth Fieros to the fullest extent. Cons: Don't get one poorly taken care of... Also, only has 2 seats, and not a lot of storage space. |

A Revelation Of What A Car Could Be — A revelation compared to what I'd driven before (mostly variations on the Camaro/Firebird theme). First time I drove a car that both rode and handled well. Never thought that was possible. Established my love for small sports cars. First manual shift car I'd ever owned and a good one. Black with black leather interior, looked like Darth Vader's ride. Everything I wrote about the '88 applies here, except this one was a little tighter, probably due to the lower mileage. Pros: A leap forward in ride/handling combo, looked like Darth Vader designed it. Cons: Rust, some jerk in a Ferrari |
