Performance Could Have Been Better For A 1.6 Litre But Not Bad. — This car is a very good car for everyday use, very reliable and not the slowes on the road. There are no luxuries such as power steering, central locking or air con, however it does have all the needed things to get from A to B or even further.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: I still drive this car because it is old but still very modern.

Cons: No luxuries

Legendary Sport Car — Old GTI. Nice to drive and good acceleration. 1,8 Litre free breathing engine pushing about 140 hp. Handles like a damn good girl ;D It beats in track mk3 and mk4 GTI golfs because mk2 dry weight is only 940kg

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Absolutely fun to drive

Cons: Paint job

Golf 2 1300 — Build quality was excellent, and the engine was unbreakable, you'd wreck the car before you could wreck the engine. and the sound was the most amazing that I've ever heard. spent most of my money on this baby, and never regretted it. fun factor out of 10 (7 out of 10)

Pros: great first car

Cons: toooooo slow

Rest In Pieces — My homely little blue Golf. You could stuff an entire Genx apartment in that thing and still get 25 miles to the gallon while you moved. As a bare bones car, nothing ever went wrong. I got 180k miles on the thing and only had to replace the door handles. ...at least 2 times each. When the steering rack finally snapped at Wal Mart at mile number 182,008, I knew it was time to die. May she rest in pieces.

Pros: Reliable transport with high MPG

Cons: Door handle replacements regularly

College Student Ride — Bought this from my aunt when I started college and needed something that runs, plus, it's a 5-speed, so I used it to teach most of my friends how to drive a 5-speed. Sold the car for $650 back in 2001.

Pros: Got me from point A to point B.

Cons: Abover average parts cost because it's German
