great for fun, it was born out in the dunes, even pulled out a couple of
full size trucks out of the sand. more than enough
power for how much it weighs. hate if you want, its more capable

Obviously mine is not exactly stock, but the original 22re has almost 250,000 very hard miles on it and still it runs great. Without re gearing and 37" tires I can still cruise at 70. I would recommend this vehicle over a Jeep for offroading any day of the week. Even with 33s and a rear locker only, it still went tons of places I didn't expect it to.Aug 18, 2010

This truck is turbo charged I'm inlove with it runs pretty good um its comfortable its
small the turbo its always active theres alot about this truck the sound of the blow
off valve its sick the cars in good conditions the handling its alright because i got
thin tires in the front and on the back theyre pretty thick and wide I just love my

BULLIETPROOF all i have to say.
good on gas for a old truck.
timing chain drive is a huge plus.
body will rust out before you kill these little gems
fun factor... drive one and you will see..

as it is it (stock) will out wheel a built jeep, great on mileage, not pretty but who cares about looks any way, they are relativley cheap, they come with a solid front axle, 4:11 gearing, they are like tanks when it comes to snow wheeling it will go any where especially if it has tire chains,Nov 23, 2009

Awsome 4x4 pickup will go through just about anything and it has been through hell and back and is still running. the only thing about toyotas is they run forever but if they do happen to break down they cost a fortune.Nov 13, 2009

My 2nd truck, first foreign vehicle. But it has an american heart- a chevy 350. Best v8 ever made by GM. This truck can sit and roast the 33 inch mudders all day. Its a beast in the mud and a babe magnet-haha. Body has been restored, and no rust on it. The 350 is backed by a 350 turbo tranny. Dual pipes give a roar, and doesnt let the onlookers be fooled whats under the hood. My trucks my girlfriend pretty much. Nov 07, 2009

handles good, slow acceleration, built very strong, tailgate rattles after awhile, they all start to rust out at the seams on the side of the bed. Maintenance is not too bad if you know how to do the work yourself, some parts sre hard to find, but most are available from your local parts store. Fun to drive if set up right.Sep 12, 2009

it is very fun little truck on and off road, mine has a 350 chev motor and a 8 inch lift, so it makes it more fun off road, the truck has lasted well in the wisconsin weather so im not complainingJun 26, 2009

i have a 1985 Toyota Pickup up with a 20R 4cyl and 5 speed tranny its 4 wheel drive and its get like 29 miles to the gallon. it only cost me 600 dollars and it is awesome to drive and theres nothing wrong with unlike my other trucks its just we have to change the Title from Misssouri to Kansas!Aug 22, 2008

1985 with the solid front axel and strong rear axel. No engine or transmission as of now. Bought it for 200 bucks in hopes of stripping it out for a 1981 with no transmisson, front end, or rear end, but I like the Extra Cab and just bought a wrecked 4runner for 100 bucks with the running gears I need. Im excited. its got a 3 inch Super Lift and thats about it. OH it has a lot of body rust on the bed, too.Mar 06, 2008
What users have asked
Gear shift sticks often while driving (won't go into gear), and unsticks when I shut off the engine.
When I'm driving, suddenly it becomes impossible to change gears. I have to pull over and shut the engine off, let off the clutch, press the clutch and move it into gear, then when I turn the truck back on it shifts again. This was only happening very occasionally until recently, and now it happens every twenty minutes of driving or so. Note: the slave cylinder was replaced last year. Now and then I have to add some fluid, for some reason.

My Toyota pickup won't try to fire and it's a brand new engine
I just got a Toyota pickup for my birthday a few years ago but haven't really got to work on it much. We got it in the shop and all put together correctly but it won't even try to fire. It will crank but won't try to fire. Any tips?
