1984 Toyota Pickup 2 Dr 3/4 Ton Standard Cab LBReview

Awesome Looking And Driving Truck Fun — This is my daily driver. I have owned many sports cars including m3's, corvettes, bmw m roadsters, etc. This truck has always been there for me. Great mileage 40+ because its a diesel. Have 215,000 miles and drives great. Mechanically sound. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: great gas mileage Cons: not much power and pollutes the earth badly |

Great Little Truck — Great little truck with good gas mileage. Gets the job done without needing a stepladder to get into it. Have owned it for 23 years with minimal expenses. Neighbors up & down the street use it for running errands to hardware store! Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: Great size Cons: Poor shocks in this year class. |

A Mini Truck That Worked Hard And Played Just As Hard. — It was a blue xtra cab 5 speed manual bucket seats with matching blue snug top and sony sound system 2" blocks in the rear torsion bars lowered in the front made for a lightweight truck that handled around turns. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Lowering suspension made truck handle good around turns Cons: Not much horsepower for a 4 cyl. Should've made engine mods too. |

Insured Parts Truck — the older toyota pickups are great solid axle is real tough. but this truck is thrashed, it has a rebuilt status and is worth more as parts, as is it is scary to drive. dont get me wrong i love these trucks just this was has neared the end of the road. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: very cheap, sort of runs, Cons: frame rusted almost in half, engine runs three with one half siezed |

Does Not Break — This was one of the second early 80's Toyota trucks I owned. The only difference is that this one came with a 5 speed manual vs. a 4 speed. If you can pick up a non rusted out Toyota truck from the eighties for cheap, do it. Pros: eveything Cons: looks, and a lot of rust on the pick up beds. |

Good Farm Truck. — this was my buddies truck and he lived on a farm. it was good to get around with and sumhow made it into town from the highway since it only had a 4 spd manual. it had a short wheel base and not so bad turning radius which is perfect if ur off roading. the truck i believe has more then gone over the 1000000km mark and is still ticking away. Pros: neat little truck with potential of being an off road machine. Cons: like driving a tin can. loud on the highway. |

The Only 4-wheel Drive To Have. — The 1984 Toyota pickup is the best all-round pickup ever. It was a small truck for those who don't like 'em big but there was actually a one-ton package available with a longbed which gives you everything you would want a full-sized truck for. It had a 4-cylander motor which is good for fuel economy and it had a 4-wheel drive system that would outcrawl any other system on the market. Pros: Fuel economy, four-wheel drive system and one-ton Cons: It lacks in power |

Good condition for that year, but the price is high for a pickup that has a significant oil leak from the timing chain cover. Read More
I Love It By Sherry
dislike the lack of power. Like the 4 wheel drive. Its fun to drive. It looks aggressive lifted. It can go further on gas and in the mud then must of the big boys. I just look good driving it. Read More
