Show Stopper! — dislike that the build took almost 6 years has been on the road now for all most a year trust me it was well worth the wait. I guess now all there is to do is start the next one with will be a toyota of all things haha! still should be fun.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: All around fun car handels like it rides rails but has no quomes about a full power drift at 60mph on a 90 degree corner love this ride .

Cons: hard to keep the front tires on the ground wen leavin the tree good thing i like to watch clouds :)

The Last Ford I'll Ever Willingly Own. —

This car was an absolute disaster from a Qualty standpoint. Quality is Job#1, and Ford's working their way up the list. Bought new with 5.0L and SROD 4 speed. 1. The trnsmission housing wore out and absolutely ZERO support from Ford. Other Mustangs and Capris I know experienced same issue, noticable as vibration on the shifter. 2. Floorboards cracked under warranty - 20,000KM and were repaired after sufficient argument. Noticeable by loose seat tracks, and again a common problem on ALL Mustangs & Capris of the era. 3. Failed brake equalizer valve caused an accident. Ford replaced the equalizer valve. I repaired the fenders. 4. Rusted out rear deck at hatchback after 3 years. No support from Ford due to !!! MILEAGE !!! ??? I could go on ... Having been a former Ford fan, in the subsequent 20 years I have refused to purchase another Ford due to the absolutely HORRIBLE Corporate response and attitude on a car that was babied, and still basically scrap after 3 years. Ford Corporate quite literally laughed at me and reminded me that I was "lucky to have bought extended warranty" when I asked them to make good for consideration on a replacement for a trade in. I now drive BMWs. Cost a bit more, but MUCH better quality once you get past the snobbishness at some dealers. Repair costs are in line, but FAR less frequent or critical.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: For its day, the handling and yes, gas mileage on a V8 was amazing.

Cons: Horrid build quality with absolute lack of Manufacturer support!

My `82 Mercury Capri — Well, for me it was a nice car because it was fast enough for my liking, with a strong enging, a 4-speed manual transmission and a T-top, it was everything i wanted and a whole lot more, even my brother liked the way it worked!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Power!

Cons: the paint

1982 Capri, '83 Tbird 5.0ho Engine, 4spd T10, 7.5 Rear, Gutted, Bare Bones — Rat Rod 4 cylinder chassis with a swapped in 5.0. This car was meant for go and not show. Striaght line performance was great, handling was very poor due to stock 4 cylinder shocks and springs. Basic trim, no luxury's. Nick named the Purple People Eater. $1000 for 13.9 1/4 basically stock. Tire roasting fury!

Pros: Performance, Price, Attitude, Parts are easy to find.

Cons: For the price, nothing that can't be fixed for the avg backyard mech.

I Had This Beater In High School. Fast And Loud. — This car was my first. It had headers, V6, and worn sycnronizers on the 2nd gear, so it would grind when shifting to second. But off the line it pulled away from others.

Pros: fast and loud

Cons: leaked oil from the oil pressure gauge, which dripped onto my socks as I drove.

1982 Mercury Capri — This was my second car that i owned. the mercury capri was nothing more than a rebadged Ford Mustang, but in my opinion it was the better looking car. the from end was cleaner. But overall. what i was driving had same mechanicals as the famed pony car.

Pros: The Mustang looks without the Mustang price. resle wasnt as good as the Mustang. so it was a steal. drove well and easy to fix. and fun to drive due to its familial Mustang roots. The 6 cylinder was spry without being overbearing.

Cons: the build quality wasnt so-so at best. panels didnt fit rite. and it had a few rust issues. Didnt do too well in an accident either. "CRUNCH"
