1978 Pontiac SunbirdReview
Allensmusic writes:
Very Rare, Very Cool, Good Running Car. — The main dislike was the previous owner lied about the fuel economy. Also, initially the car would not start, click or make a sound when shut off and hot. Turned out be a bad solenoid. I have repaired the solenoid, broken shifter detent, but cannot seem to improve the mpg. Seems strange that my 1977 Iron Duke Astre gets 32 mpg, but the 1978 iron duke wagon gets more like 22 mpg. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Really cool looking car with a 151 iron duke engine. Cons: Needs paint and carpet. ![]() Looking for a Used Sunbird in your area?CarGurus has 5 nationwide Sunbird listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |
