Since putting this car in as a 67` Malibu and then finding a few photos, I`m now able to say it is a 1978 Malibu Classic. Please note the front grill as NOT Original and is in fact that of a volvo, fitted I might add by the previous owner. The grill being replaced at a later date, but sadly there are no photos available from that time. thumbnail

"Overall, owners of the 1978 Chevrolet Malibu have a nostalgic and positive view of this classic car. Many drivers love its fun performance and power, especially with the V8 engine, making it a joy to drive. The unique styling and retro interior also receive praise. However, some owners mention issues with responsiveness and the need for maintenance as drawbacks."

Car has a 383 Stroker, putting out about 450 hp, Turbo 350 trans, and factory posi rear diff. Originally an Arkansas car, VERY little rust. There are a few things I have had to repair/change since purchasing the car, nothing major though. These cars are becoming harder to find in "unmolested" condition. They are VERY popular for drag racing, because they are light weight, and have a full frame. Any of these that have seen a few winters in the "Salt Belt" of America, more than likely have excessive rust, especially in the rear, frame areas.

11.2 secs @ 121 mph in the quarter on street tires and pump gas. not sure of the 1/8th time. was pretty sick. super fun car to drive. you can be cruising along at around 35 and just goose it and your ass will be sideways
