Best Car To Own Frm The 70's Era — have a few engine probs, when old engines (like the one thats in it) made by mopar get some miles, they smoke like a freight train. shes got a 440 mag stroked to 500, and handles like a 57 chevy because its so heavy. she gets about 8 1/2 miles to the gallon, so she dont hit the road very often.

Pros: shes quick for an automatic

Cons: expensive/hard to find parts

74 Dodge Charger Se — Very fun to drive. Nice loud and powerful 440. With the Brogham Edition interior in the SE model, it has power windows, AM/FM, factory sunroof, center console w/ a 727 automatic transmission. Yes, filling up a 20 gallon tank gets expensive, but you get a lot of joy out of each gallon. I've had this car for over 12 years now, and I don't know if I could ever part with it.

Pros: Looks and is mean!

Cons: not much

The Best Generation Of Dodge Charger — My 16th birthday present. It is currently not running as the stupid external voltage regular crapped out and fried the battery and alternator. Will get it running again someday.

Pros: Only has a 318 so it gets good mileage for a big car. Has tons of leg room. You look cool driving it.

Cons: Rust, am radio, and it only has a 318.

Great Car.wish I Still Had It. — Didn't have a ton of power with a 318 and a/c but it was decent.Handled great with 60 series tires on the rear and 70s on the front.Air shocks got the rear up.Hedman headers ,Thrush glass packs, and a true dual exhaust made it sound awesome, especially once the packs burned out.Traded it for a 84 Shelby Charger in 84.

Pros: great ride

Cons: Vinyl seats, alternatorcouldn't keep up with the load.

They Definitely Don't Make Them Like This Anymore! — I was asked to take a drive in a friends 1974 Dodge Charger. This car was incredible. He has all sorts of modifications that he's added over the year. It literally feels like a rocket ship taking off when he floors it off the line. I absolutely love how it drove and can't wait for him to ask me again ... assuming he will.

Pros: This is one wickedly fast car.

Cons: Very big and bulky.

A Piece Of Art & Car History — Right…..the story of "Honey Brown", my 1974 Dodge Charger, where do I begin? I’ll start at the beginning; this will help you understand why it’s hard for me to part with it. When I was 12 years old my brother was going away to college and my parents bought him a 1971 Black on Black Leather Charger with Cragar Rims, Slick 50 Mag Tires, “The Works” my jaw dropped and I told him to take care of this car so I could have it…of course a year later he crashed it in a ditch and I never saw it again. I promised myself that one day I would by my own…On September 7, 2004 I won her on eBay from Cocoa Beach Florida.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Classic Look

Cons: None

It was the fastest car I have ever driven. I loved it. Once your speed hit 70mph it just wanted to fly effortlessly with 318 engine. Great mileage and it never failed to start EVER. Even when police cruisers or garages failed, my outside Charger fired up! It would go on ice, snow, cold, heat. Also handled like a dream. Wish I had it now.

"I dont really know. The74s power was right there when you needed it and it responded to your touch like a dream. Heater was slow but it went thru snow, ice and pulled itself out of ditch if you slid on ice, commuted to college and was always there for me and looked great doing it."
