My Dream Car!!! — It's a fun car to drive, it's a car that makes turned heads on is passage, people you come across often sends you hand to congratulate you for your car, the experience behind the wheel is really indescribable, I am always fascinated that a 40-year-old car was also pleasant to drive and that as a design has breathtaking. Is only weak point is the cost of the repairs.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It's a very fun car to drive, the independent suspension on the 4 wheels work really great, the front brake with 4 pistons are powerful, the design of the bodywork have a great curve. The dead angles are almost inexistent on this car.

Cons: The cost of the part is really expensive!!

In 40 Years Of Ownership Of These Have Never Been Let Down — What can you say about a running and good looking 40 year old 4 speed Bimmer that is bad? It gets lots of looks and is fun to drive. Twisty roads in the countryside fly by in smiles, even if you get to nowhere and head home a different route. Every 60 plus guy who drove one should give it a try. They are easy to fix, there are people who can help, parts are not a problem, and stuff is simpler. Best to avoid rust issues.

Pros: This is just the most fun little car to have if you like old Bimmers.  4 sp, weber, clean, and good looking.  If you had 4 other cars and one of these it would get as many thumbs up as the others combined.

Cons: In stock form and 165 13 tires it can feel less than steady at highway speeds and cross winds.  Not to say the wider tires and a host of other tweaks won't help.  Keeping it nostalgic has its sacrifices.

Cute, Fun, Iconic German 2 Door Sedan. — There is lots to like about this group of BMWs, the 2002s. Parts new and used are available although some can be very expensive. Really well restored cars can bring plenty, but cost plenty to get there. It is a fun to drive and very responsive 2 liter. It is not for everyone nor for every season since it is old architecture-heat is manual, manual steering, crank windows, and no limited slip. There is only so much one can do to improve the exterior lighting and visibility of the car. It is a bit of a cult car: old guys like them 'cause we drove them as kids.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: These are fun to drive, look great, and are generally reliable when sorted out properly.

Cons: Rust is killer and should be avoided where possible but it depends if you want a driver quality or better.  Not ideal in winter, best to store than risk it.  Poor lighting versus modern cars.

A Good Classic If You Don't Mind Spending A Bit Of Money. — BMW - so very good performance (it's not called an Ultimate Driving Machine for nothing!) Fairly reliable, considering it's age. Ultra-cool and attractive - especially in Inka Orange of Chamonix white. Good interior features for it's age. Does cost a bit on maintenance though. Very fun to drive!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Awesome performance, ultra-cool

    Cons: Rust!

Driving Machine Ii — This was for a long time my favourite driving machine, quick, nimble, responsive, in short loads of fun. The 2 litre engine was souped up with Tii head and pistons, a 306 degree Dr Shrick Camshaft and twin 45 DCOE's. A 1982 five speed made it driveable on highways. Not the greatest looking of cars but solid, easy to work with and easy to find parts for at decent cost. The really bad thing about it was it rusted ... everywhere.

    Pros: Fun, Fun, Fun

Cons: Rust was always a concern

2002tii Gem — The Car is awesome, responsive and built solid. Its pretty stock looking outside exceot if the wider suspension but everything else has been replaced with newere model stuff. Everything is pretty much custommade and fitted. It sports an M12 Multi valve motor and 325 box. full 325 suspension, M3 diff and custom prop and sideshafts. The car is super fun to drive and is in an immaculate condition. there are disk brakes all around so nothing has been compromised in the safety aspect. It's not extremely fast but I am looking at Billet cams with 292 degree profiles and individual Throttle boddies or maybe a small turbo conversion

Pros: one of its kind on the continent and I'm pretty sure probably the world.

Cons: Cost of project ....... Don't ask.

It's Ugly But It's Kind Of Nice At The Same Time. — It's actually owned by my dad at the time. All I remembered was it scared the crap out of me. It could be down to two things. 1) Being it's RWD I have spund it a few times ended up facing the wrong way. 2) The fact that it's a BMW 2002 tii, which is one of these cars that will give any car a run for it's money because it wasn't slow at that era.

Pros: A Classic Car with Speed to match it.

Cons: Not too sure because we didn't have it for long.
