I Want My 72 Back But It's Gone Forever. — Truly, a one of a kind ride. Body by Ghia and VW quality. Always got looks where ever we took it. We bought our's new in 1972 and paid the princely sum of $3200 USD. Yellow with black interior. AM/FM and nothing else as far as options. A car that looked fast even though under powered. The Haus Frau's Porche. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Great looks and fun to drive Cons: Under powered. |

1972 Karmann Ghia — rare automatic stickshift model. not perfect but pretty close. original Ontario car so it is a survivor. lots of time & money have been spent to get this beauty back on the road & it's very close to being done. Can't wait to take this for a legal drive. Pros: style, uniqueness Cons: lots of work to get on road |

Cutest Car A Gal Could Have ( Ccagh ) — It has a 4 cylinder engine and it's a stick shift. The paint is original in this picture. It's a lil' Rust bucket though. It has black interior ( leather ) I want to put and orange racing stripe on the seats. But that will have to done after we sup up the Chevelle. It's VERY fun to drive. I think I'll keep the color orange. It makes it look funky. We already have a red Ghia in town. You'd be stupid to turn this little car down. We just got it on Fathers day. My dad is really proud of himself. He should be.... he's my Hero! Pros: What's This thing??? Cons: I have no clue.......... |

It Was Great At 16 Yrs Old And Got Us Places But Not Without A Headache. — Wish we could've fixed it and pimped it out at that time, but this was the original hoopty. We once got 7 people in this matchbox (bench in the back and no front passenger seat), we had a folding chair for a passenger seat. A lot of fun until a Bigfoot like 4x4 had its way with the ghia. Pros: Better than the bus...at least when the sun was out. ;-) Cons: No power, no brakes, couldn't rely on the electrical components...lost power to the engine when you turned the radio on. |
