It's the poor-man's 356. But no other car looks like it, and I get stopped by someone every time I drive it who says, "My (self, friend, cousin) had one of those back in college! I loved that car!" Usually followed by a road-trip story, or the "fond" memory of having to ride in the back seat!

I like everything about car. Its so fun to drive. It's a blast from the past. Everyone that sees the car gives me the thumbs up! I may not be fast, but it's steady. I can't wait to get my Mangel wheels on!

Loved these cars since being a nipper... always wanted one. Designed in the early 50's, VW just 'evolved' the look slightly over the years, rather than changing it abruptly. Never going to set the world alight on performance and was very expensive when originally on sale. All this means they're quite rare these days.
