Nice To Drive And It Turns Heads But Won't Pass A Gas Pump W/o Stopping. — I like that it gets looks and is fun to drive. Alot of the Interior parts of a Chevelle also work on this car. Has lots of power but is also a very heavy car so not real fast on a track.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Its the 1st year for the Monte Carlo.  Not alot of them around so its different at the car shows.

Cons: A little harder to find parts for since not as popular as Chevelles and Camaros.

Awesome Car! — I love everything about this car. It has a 350 5.7 liter completely rebuilt with a little over 400 horsepower. All the bells and whistles were done when it was restored. Inside is very modern as well. Gas mileage is a little low but that's to be expected.

Pros: Great car, I get compliments everywhere I go with it!

Cons: The car is restore and very updated so no cons but I'm sure original had a few.

Love It This Is My Second One — beautiful lines, great handling, 19 mpg hwy when i can keep it at 65 mph which does not happen often. a real head turner. compliments all the time. had a guy in Tucson pull next to me and tell me of a upcoming car show that my monte had to take part in, went ahead and did it and was so glad i did. Has the 402 with buckets, console and original Delco am/fm 8 track that works!

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

    Pros: fun

    Cons: cost

Simply Put .....awesome !!!!! — The performance of this car is totally cool , the crisp body lines , power of the Big block under the hood , More needed to be produced with the M-22 4 speed Manual transmission , Roomy interior and 4-10 geared osi-traction 12 bolt rear

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Big Block power , great body lines

    Cons: no reasons

1970 Monte Carlo — Lots of fun to drive... It gets alot of looks due to the distinct look of the car and the overpowering roar of the 502 in it. If a strong first impression is what you are going for, then this is the car for you.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: good looks, performance, easy to work on

    Cons: gas mileage

Not A Drag Car — We put in the 406 that later went into the Caprice. It twisted the body from torque.

    Pros: Fastish..

Cons: Weak frame, twisted on acceleration.

Raw Power — Has enuff power to run with just about any sports car, with the right driver can take a big block muscle car from same era.

Pros: Rebuilt 350 with lots of power

Cons: Body looks bad, slower take off than most cars you see on the road today.

My Dream Car — Ive owned two of these and they are the best car I have ever owned. Extremely reliable. This was my very first car I owned when I was 16. this isnt my car in this pic. I will get some of my own pics on here soon. In the middle of restoration right now.

    Pros: everything

    Cons: nothing

Great Ride And Classic Lines With Plenty Of Power. — Fell in love with the 1st generation Monte when in Grade 11 as one of my friends had a used one. Purchased mine 3 years ago and the only problem is that I don't have enough time to drive it.

Pros: Style, ride and power.  Unique

Cons: Handling could be better but we can't all be perfect.
