Very Content With It. Fun Driving Project. — This is clearly a project car, so to judge it on overall performance and appearance would be unfair, but I will say this. For a 42 year old car, it still drive swell. As far as build quality, this car was kept a lot better than most of its age have, and it has not yet been restored. Only real body work that has been done to it was it received a new (but terrible) paint job in the mid 70's. Body is straight and solid.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Pontiac Pride, it's a fun pony car, still turns heads despite being in rough shape.

Cons: If you don't plan on putting money into it, or are looking for a fuel economic car, turn the other way.

A Fantastic Looking Car That Is Fun To Drive And Turns Heads Everywhere It Goes! — The very first car I ever owned was a 1968 Pontiac Firebird. That car drove me through my high school years, through 10 years in the Army and well into my marriage and first few children. In 1994 I made the tough decision to sell my beloved Firebird in order to purchase my first home. From the moment I watched that car being driven away I regretted my choice, but life carried on. Over the years I searched in vain, trying to relocate my old 'bird so I could buy it back, but to no avail. Then, a few weeks ago my wife found and bought me a 1968 Firebird that could easily be the spitting image of the car I drove around throughout the last few years of my childhood and into early adulthood. Now I find that I am in love with a car all over again! ***Performance-Excellent for an older car ***Build Quality-Decent but it can't compare to today's well built cars ***Appearance-Incredible and Timeless ***Cost of Ownership/Gas Mileage-Common, it's a classic with a huge V-8! You do not buy one of these cars for their gas mileage! ***Fun Factor-Off the charts!!!!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Much sexier than a Camaro

Cons: Most people still prefer Camaros...LOL

It's A Muscle Car, It Is What It Is, And That Is Awesome/ — acceleration- phenominal braking- 4wheel disk brakes now handling - good, as long as you're going strait build quality - all steel, no worries has it needed repair?, yes a full restoration appearance- sexy, shiny, covered in chrome gas milage- as it is now, 8mpg maintenace - high fun factor- 13 out of 10

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: cause it turns alot of heads and an old v8 feels great

Cons: if you're not mechanically inclined

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: everyone cant help but stare

Cons: way to heavy for high speed

Great Car — I wish I still owned this car, I bought it when I was 16 years old and drove it for 3 years. It was a great looking car- white convertible with blue interior. It was a fun car to drive, I loved feeling the wind in my hair and the sun on my face.

    Pros: convertible

    Cons: small

A Work In Progress........ — Well, I got this when i graduated from college with every intention of performing a complete restoration. Unfortunately due to work, going back to school and a lack of funds, progress has been, how should I say, SLOW!!! I do have the engine and transmission removed, as well as having some body work done and the car has since been repainted (to solar red, an original Firebird color, just not THIS Firebird's original color - the blue wasn't original either). I've also ripped out all of the interior but need to replace the floor pans in the front before I continue. As I said, it's a work in progress, but one I hope to have completed this decade (or soon thereafter!).

Pros: Convertible, ALL upgrade options, including - power door locks, windows and convertible top; air conditioning; and a host of other great stuff, all original glass and most of the chrome is intact!

    Cons: It's an automatic transmission : (

Initially i was upset about this, but I've decided that since the engine wasn't original (and the block was cracked to boot), that making changes (like putting in a manual tranny) wouldn't be a complete sacrilege!

Oh yeah, and it needs a LOT of work before it's roadworthy!!!
