The 1967 Chevelle SS kept the RPO L35 as its base engine, complete with its 396-cubic-inch V8 rated at 325 horsepower. Although the 375-horsepower engine was no longer available, aftermarket parts were available to tune the 350-horsepower engine to the equivalent of 375.

The '67 Chevelle received new 14-inch wheels as well as the new option of front disk brakes. On the exterior, a new bumper allowed more air pass-through, giving the car an appearance that some have compared to a mouth agape.

On the power front, the car lost some acceleration, going from 0-60 in 6.5 seconds, up .5 seconds from previous models.

What owners say

AI Summary · 15 reviews

"Overall, owners of the 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle have a strong admiration for its power and classic design. Many drivers loved the exhilarating performance and the thrill of driving such an iconic muscle car, especially noting the impressive horsepower and acceleration. However, some mentioned challenges with safety and handling, pointing out that the car's weight can make stopping and turning a bit difficult. The nostalgia and enjoyment of owning a piece of automotive history are prominent themes in their reviews."

They just don't make cars like this anymore. This car is solid and it is gorgeous! My hubby and I spent 11 years restoring this car and we now enjoy it in the spring and summer with our kids and at local car shows.

We've had this car for years and it has leather seating interior, and the exterior is a navy blue. The performance is good and acceleration is great, however it's still an old car. This SS car is very fun to drive and catches attention anywhere and everywhere we drive it.

The picture here was the best from the net and the closest to the one I drove. I'm sure that this guy's SS is probably superb in every way. The one I had yesterday had faulty wiring, some bad interior trim, the engine could've been cleaner, though it has a lot of power and a great roar. I prefer the European classics & refinement over most of the American Icono-classics (I love old vettes, t-birds & pre 50's). So I won't go into the minuses with this puppy.
