Cool Not The Best Handling Car But Not At All Bad Either. Better Than A Beetle. — lots of seals that rot out. body is one piece repairs are impossible/ costly. power to weight ratio lacking. brakes suck. a looks like an old porshe.reverse is hard to get into recomend lock out kit-shifter, oem shifter is got a long throw epect to slam hand into dash.

Pros: cool looking/stylish, not a beetle, parts availabillity still really high, easy to work on engine, option parts still readilly available, same parts as most vws of the time

Cons: swing axle, drum brakes all way round, was 6v, was a 1300cc, old style fan shroud not as effective for cooling, had a generator stock(no alternator) people gawk at your car not paying attention to the road anymore.
