1964 Impala — I love my 1964 I built from ground up. Its cost me close to 30k but well worth it.my car has been up grade to modern with tubular arms. If you can afford to build or buy one made well be the best investment. Cause value goes up .its like money in the bank and lots of fun to have on a weekend go out to car show. And be proud of your classic every were you go people want to ask questions and look at it I love my impala. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: very nice classic Cons: expensive ![]() Looking for a Used Impala in your area?CarGurus has 26,305 nationwide Impala listings starting at $250. |

Miss This One! — Great car rare convertible super sport 4 speed. Big mistake selling this one! Mine had some rust issues but parts easily available Mine was totally restored. I replaced the springs and exhaust system. Roomy even with buckets. Mine was blue black top black interior SS car. I have not seen another with a 4 speed always automatics. This is boxy I also had a 63 prettier but not a SS Vert! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Great Ride Convertible Power Top Cons: Watch for rust issues |

A Faulty Wiring Usually Resulted In Fire And The Distributer Was Too Close To The Fire-wall — the headliner of these year of cars had tiny stars throughout, the engine is a 283 cu.in.,transmission is a 2sp automatic that could be shifted manually, like taken up to 50 miles an hour before shifting to 2nd and it didn't hurt the transmission Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: it is a lowrider even without any modifications Cons: the car had a i-frame so you couldn' raise the back-end, and it had a split drive-shaft |

A Great Classic Car — I have always loved the 1964 Chevrolet Impala. What a great classy car especially the two door hard top. I am lucky enough to have bought mine from the original owner and the car is in show room condition without ever being restored. If you are looking for a great cruiser--keep the 1964 Impala in mind--you will be pleasantly surprised and turn many heads when you drive down the street. Mine is a head turner each time I drive it--It is much more popular that the 1964 Ford Galaxie and parts can be found very easily. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Style, room Cons: None |

Its Not Cheap — Its a classic. What can you expect. Big Block Chevy motors have lots of power and can handle themselves on the streets just fine. The only problem is that they dont turn all that well. More of a straight line kind of car. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Its powerful and lools good Cons: Its old and parts are hard to find and not cheap. |

1964 Impala Ss Convertible — All original one owner 1964 impala ss convertible. hard to beat that! Currently in my shop for an engine overhaul. Only 48,000 miles on the car. The car is in amazing shape. It only has a small bit of rust near the trunk. Interior is great, car is solid. I would drive it everyday if it wasn't so pristine. Pros: It's low miles and all original. Makes it worth more Cons: It's low miles and all original. Keeps me from driving it everyday |

Wow — My brother this one. One summer he rebuilt the engine. He installed a floor shift (Hearst). It finally died on his way to California so he bought a Maverick station wagon. What a let down. Pros: The only car that I have like better is the 1957 Bel Air. Cons: I can't think of any. |
