I'd Do It Again If I Had An Extra Million Dollars Laying Around. — It was a hot rod. We figured that it made almost 700 HP with the bored 454 and the dual 4barrel carb set-up. 2 780cfm Holly carbs, full race cam, ported and polished heads, solid lifters, and a high capacity oil pump with twelve quarts of oil. You had to see it to believe it, and as we said, it would pass everything but a gas station. This was in the early 70's, and gas was cheap. It was a beast to drive, and I had to go to standard steering because the rate of RPM climb would thrash a power steering pump to pieces. I loved it. I worked on it every chance I got,

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It was fast.  It was fun.  It was a great learning experience

Cons: It ate tires, and the brakes were not very good after an hour of heavy driving.

1958 Chevrolet ImpalaReview

My Uncle's Impala — Well, the car belongs to my uncle, but in 1958 I don't think they were as interested in "handling" so much as going fast and looking good at it. This car is all original, rides like a dream, and made me feel like I was the coolest thing on the road....I couldn't ask for more!

Pros: Perfect condition....a thing of beauty!

Cons: absolutely nothing.....except that I don't get to drive it more often.
