Head Turner — Serious consideration should be given before any one attempt a concourse restoration such as this. But once complete, you set behind the wheel and smell history. Although this is a Trailer Queen, I does get to the shows and sound awesome. Pros: It an E-Code... Cons: Wish I could drive it every day ![]() Looking for a Used Thunderbird in your area?CarGurus has 1,021 nationwide Thunderbird listings starting at $6,498. |

Kit Car — Bought this package back 25 years ago and have not concentrated one bit on the assembly. I have rolled it from one location to another, and has always been in the way. Too much work to accomplish the end product for me. Perfect for an enthusiast. Pros: Kit Car from Design Classic Sales Inc., pinto frame, 427 w/ trans (needs total rebuild) Cons: Needs to be assembled and a lot of misc. parts need to be purchased to complete. |

1957 Ford T-bird Owner Review — Perforamce - Soso. First thing you should consider is disc brake conversion. Appearance - Sleek classic lines and gorgeous styling. Build quality - Get real. Its a 51 year old car. Even a fully restored car will still require routine maintenance. Performance is soso. Cost of ownership? Don't ask. Fun factor - Its a head turner! Pros: All time american classic Cons: Not for the faint hearted |

Beautiful American Classic — My Father is now in posession of the car... Decided it was his, when I ran out of money for parts... he finished paying for the parts, and bough the car from me. There is nothing better than driving down the freeway at 65+ mph with the ragtop off, the wind blowing through your hair, and the sound of the long block 312 roaring through the two straight exhaust pipes. With the Silicone rear main replacement, the car does not leak a drip. Extremely easy to work on. Presently working on the disk brake conversion kit. I recommend this car to anyone who loves cars. 10 mpg city / 15 highway (hey it is a '57 what do you expect) Pros: Plenty of horse power, downright gorgeous to look at, plenty of power Cons: It is a 57... repairs are inevitable, parts are quite pricey, no job is easy when you have to deal with bolts that have been there for 51 years (in some cases) |

Beautiful Design, Easy Maintenance And A Joy To Drive — I've owned my 57 bird for 3 years now. I restored it from a basket case to a stunning piece of art. It is easy to drive as it is smooth and quiet yet powerful when I want it to be. It is a wonderful car to own. |

Nice Looker And Then.... — Liked the looks and bought one, all Black, with removable top, ride was ok for a so called sports car. Lacked sway bars for the curves. Power plant was great for weight ratio. I believe you can get about 110 miles per hour out of it back then. Why I gave a low rating, two weeks after owning it, steering failed and ended in a lake. But it looked good, wish I had one today. |
