Knocked the ignition? You mean the key
cylinder? Or the actual ignition? Will have to
purchase a new cylinder with matching key(s)
and then have Mitsubishi program the new
key to the ECU...good luck with that btw I'm
having to do the same...my eclipse was
stolen and then found without the keys..so as
a truly eclipse fan.. I pulled a ignition switch
and cylinder from my part car.. and now I'm
stuck trying to have my new key programed
to the ECU security.. hard to do when I'm
unable to DRIVE IT to the Mitsubishi shop..so
another hefty bill for towing once again.. after
the police did there processing.. I had to pay
$160 of my own money to have it released
from their lot and since the jack-ass that
stolen it took my car when he ran, I couldn't
drive it home, so I had to pay another $175 to
have it towed home.. and now after $335
spent.. I have to probably pay an arm and a
leg to have it towed to a Mitsubishi dealer
and them to install new ignition module, a
new ignition cylinder with keys, and have
them reprogram the new keys.. and also don't
forget your driver side door key switch as
well.. or you won't be able to lock it.. and keep
it protected from any other p.o.s. that comes
along and seal from your hard working ass..
