A/C issue

Asked by GuruT1P21 Jul 04, 2018 at 04:35 PM about the 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 05 Jeep Liberty and 2 days ago the a/c suddenly stopped blowing cold
air. When you put your hand to the vent the air is ice cold but not blowing out. Is
there a fuse that may have blown out?

Yes there is a blower fuse plus the electric cooling fan that should be clicking in , Does the fan work if you select hot air ? which will prove your fan works.

Just had a look under my bonnet , 2005 Liberty RHD , There is an electrical box infront of the battery full of fuses and relays . There is a 40amp blower motor fuse and a 40amp radiator fan fuse plus a 10amp blower fuse beside the steering wheel consule inside the car ..

Sorry me again , I also think there will be switching relay , maybe someone else can tell you where it is . Ok good luck.

GuruT1JC9 blower not working on heat either. My fiance is coming to town this weekend and said he will check the ones under the hood. I tried the one on the side by the door panel but still not working after replacing that one. He said something about a relay behind the glove box but not to try and check it because you have to pull the air bag switch and if not done right it can deploy the bag and then I have a whole other issue so scared of that. Thanks for helping tho. Was hoping to fix it on my own and not need his help but guess I will just have to wait till the weekend. A/C place wants $99 to check it whether they fix it or not its the same price. That's ridiculous. Will let you know what fixes the problem in case anyone else has the same issue and this could help them.

On my 2005 Jeep V6, there are 2 fan relays in the electrical box in front of the battery , one is low speed fan the other is high , My fan is not working on high speed , don't know how to test the relay so have ordered a replacement relay , they both are the same type of relay . There is also a blower 40amp fuse . .
