My 2005 Jeep Liberty has ran hot and now I have water in oil and dead cylinder on passenger side. Was a good motor till this happened. Is it worth fixing or do an engine swap?

Unfortunately, there is no way to know until you pull the engine apart and inspect. Is it worth it? Depends on the rest of the Jeep's condition and how long you are planning on keeping it.

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty that has about 136,000 miles on it. It has received every required servicing including and oil and filter change every 3600 miles. Right now, between servicings I have to put in 1 to 2 quarts of oil. I have asked my service representative, Jake at York Jeep about it and he says that it is just because it is an older car. I have talked to a couple mechanics, who basically said "that's crap" and that if my car has received all its servicings this should not be happening. I have a 2002 jeep liberty that the engine went bad in. I was going to overhaul it but found out the block was no good. I got a bottom end ( block, crank and pistons ) from a salvage yard and overhauled it. I got it all back together with the original heads and all the other things from the original engine, crank sensor, cam sensor, new coil packs,new spark plugs,,,,,, everything is brand new. But now I have no spark. What could my problem be ? 2 Answers

So it is 2 areas of leakage and I don't know where it is stemming from one area in the way back grocery bag area and the other above passenger side window only a little bit in passenger side floor.

2005 Jeep Liberty 3.7L. New fan, and thermostat. Purged system of air. Filled, ran, refilled, system is full. Run at idle 30 minutes, and temp is rock steady at the mid point mark of the temp gauge. Ran it for 10 minutes at 50 mph and temp rose to the 3/4 mark. Pulled in home and checked fan and its running radiator hose at the top (engine exhaust) is hot, radiator hose at the bottom (engine intake) is air temp cold. Fan was still running.
