1995 rodeo, hard start issue. once started there is aheavy fuel smell.fuel regulator???

trucks aV6 .cranks and cranks then eventually starts with a heavy fuel smell . could it be fuel regulator?

Sounds like you have leaky injectors or the regulator could be bad also.
