350 5.7 bogging down

Asked by Jamisonkemp Jun 15, 2019 at 12:21 AM about the 1991 GMC Suburban V1500 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1991 GMC v1500 suburban, the old body
style. Only after the engine warms up for about 10-
15 minutes it begins to bog down and sometime
sevearelely to the point where I'm not accelerating.
I have gone over and ruled out the the whole egr
system because my engine has been throwing egr
codes. I have been trying different things like I
check for an intake leak. And I have also
considered the distribution system as a problem
but I figure that you would probably see the
problem all the time if that were the case not jsut
after it warms up. So I have considered that it may
be my ecm so I was planning on replacing it to see
if that is gonna fix the problem. If you have any
other ideas please help.
