Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 1989 gmc suburban with a 350 tbi. I found a
good deal on a engine out of an 1986 suburban.
How hard would this be to swap?

Ah, no they are not Vortec, the 5.7L (350) came out in 1996. These engines will interchange. You just may have to change the intake, and associated parts.

Right, If you look at the intake in how it is bolted down the Vortec has less bolts to hold it down on the 5.7L
