2016 Subaru Outback headlights electrical problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So i have an outback, and a couple of weeks ago i found that the headlights
were out, so i replaced the bulbs and that didnt fix anything. It turns out the
headlights and the fog lights are all out. And at night it appears that the high
beams on low power is what i get when i turn it to just headlights mode.
When i turn the lights to auto the High beams come on. So it is not the bulbs,
and i have also checked all of the fuses, and there does not appear to be any
major visible damage to the wiring... but i have not fully checked it. But now
the other night the auto up and down functions stpped working for the driver
side window and the passanger window wont go up or down at all. I bought
this car pre owned and i am not sure if something like this would be covered?
But since im getting new tires this week i was wondering if anyone had any
insight before i take it in for this since i dont really have the money if the issue
is not covered.

In addition to Fuse's you also have a relay ... open the hood and check the fuse box cover for the location of the relay ,, relays are cheap and most auto stores have them

Possible bad head light switch. The window issues could be a fuse or bad window switches or damaged wires where they go to the door.

Easy, easy. Your chariot either has a new battery or needed a jump lately, as the master power window switch needs to be reset. Read the manual; you just cycle window and return upward, holding the switch in upmost place a bit. The headlight issue is more mysterious.

Have had many issues with 2014 Outback external lights burning out. See other forums. In the end, after a LOT of pushing, Subaru HQ replaced the 6 burned out lights - but no one could ever answer why they were burning out. Many suggested alternator, but that appeared find by the Subaru mechanics.

Did you ever find the issue. My 2016 outback same as yours is having the same issues. Fog light are flashing issues with the auto windows and no recent battery replaced or jumped off.
