Why my Kia won't start

2014 Kia optima ex gdi,
Won't start when I get in press brake
pedal to start all power comes on when I
press the start button with key it gives me
a good bye and won't start .....please help

You bought a piece of junk , an electrical nightmare , Either get it to a good garage or start learning kia tech.

Sounds like the security system kicks in, you may have a bad chip in the key, if you have another key try it, if that didn't work then you need a pro to look at it. However beatupchevy is right.

Yes, that "goodbye" is the key. It's the security system, and it's activated probably because it no longer recognizes the key. You really need to get the car to a dealer or a really good Kia mechanic, if there are any.
