If you're out of warranty and have to fix it yourself, try looking for the horn location under the hood (probably buried way up in the core support), and check it has a good ground. AFAIK there is no relay anymore, the horn is controlled by the Front electronic module and instrument cluster computer. If the wires to the horn itself look good then the problem lies in the FEM circuit and that is likely too complex to troubleshoot outside of the dealership.

thanks out of warranty ,, but very close friends of owner of dealership .. thought it might be a fuse ( hoping ) ... in fact talked to ownership at 745 tonight and have an appointment monday the 13th.

I have a reoccurring problem with water getting into the lower horn and muffling it. It is easily accessed thru the inner fender on the passenger side.
