Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an oil leak and my mechanic says it is the transmission oil cooler.  The
car has a manual transmission.  Do manual transmissions have oil coolers?

No not on standard transmissions. Are you sure he did say engine oil cooler?

Heck of a mechanic you've got. Did he also recommend you replace your hybrid battery pack? Go to an independent transmission shop. The trans leak is likely just a seventeen year old seal that failed.
