I am thinking about buying a 99 Acura integra with 226k miles. The owner said the catalytic converter needs to be replaced...but the car is 1300 deal.or no deal

Have you checked the price of a replacement catalytic converter? Add that to the $1300.00 and see what the real cost is. I think you can get a similar Acura without the problem for between $1000 & 1600 depending where you live.
