Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, so I have a 1995 chevy silverado. I just got done
replacing engine. But I went to start it and it
wouldn't turn over. So I checked voltage and I don't
have crank coming from coil. But when I try
cranking it I can't hear my fuel pump either. But I
poored some gas down my throttle body and still
no start. Replaced fuel pump relay, spar pulg, spark
plug wires, coil, whole distributor assembly and all
sensors. At this point I'm cluelss. Could my fuEl
pump be messing with my spark or do I need a
computer?? Help

Ok...I have the same exact model....except its a GMC Suburban.....who did the engine replacement? There are a great deal of hook ups....vacuum lines....that need to be connected. Did it run after u changed the engine at all? Why did you change the engine to begin with?? Did the head gasket blow??

Well it ran before I swapped it. And me and a buddy. But I found out I pinched a wire between the tray and engine. It's a thick black wire. I don't have a picture but is it a ground wire? I mean it's black so I'd assume so
