Check your battery with a volt meter. If your battery is low, replace it. If it is not your battery it could be a faulty ground somewhere, possibly in the ignition and or your start motor is shot. I bet my chips on your battery is dead if your engine wont turn over.

Nola Jeeps. I still having the same problem. The temporary solve the problem I add a Push bottom with a 12v relate to the starter. To star the Jeep you have to move the key to crank and push the bottom at the same time.

My mechanic found a little gray wire near the transmission by somethings that look like capacitors was frayed and this was causing the intermittent starting problem with the shifter. I been using him for twenty plus years, not fancy, but good.

I have a 2010 jk sport 4wd. The ignition will crank and start the jeep as long as it's in 4wd. In 2wd. The ignition does nothing. I can start the jeep while someone holds the key all the way on and I jump the starter. Anyone know my issue?

If you spray into the throttle body and it doesn’t start but still turns over then it is likely the pins on the ECM have separated from the circuit board, may be an easy fix, this is especially try if your OBDii can’t find the ECM. My OBDii showed No codes but my SBB V33.02 said that ECU Not Detected! (need an upgrade to V88.09 soon) So there is No ECU recognized, could be the ACU or a wire/connector issue but Jeep is known for issues within ECM connector breaks off the board internally.

I have the same problem, have spent mega bugs and still not fixed 2.8 Wrangler JK Diesel Engine turns but does not start. Had it at the dealer for error codes but nothing showed up. I've replaced the inline pump in the tank, glow plugs, starter, crankshaft sensor, diesel filter and had a full service done. Timing belt is fine, no smoke when starting or driving. When engine is turning I can get it to start by spraying quickstart into the snorkel mouth, when it starts I can drive normally but when switched off I have start it with quickstart again.

I would start with a fuel pressure test! Obviously something is restricting fuel, especially at start-up, perhaps the regulator to the fuel rail, or tiny bits of rust and crap from the tank has clogged things up!

I just restored my 1992 Jeep Wrangler. I have power to everything when I turn key but it will not crank or turn over. I’ve changed the ignition switch, swapped starter relay, and still nothing. If I turn my ignition to the run position the fuel pump does kick in. If I jump the relay with a jumper wire, the Jeep cranks and starts right up. I’ve gone through the grounds and sanded them all to bare metal and tightened back down a couple of times with the same result. It has to be something from the ignition to the relay in the under hood fuse panel. All fuses are good under dash and under hood. What should I check or test next. I’m sick of going through and looking at the wiring.....

I have a 2011 Wrangler and sometimes it doesn't start, if i take the positive lead off my battery for about 5 min and then reattach it, it will start up. Kind of like a reset. I would like to get a permanent fix if anyone has one.

I’m having the same issue as Victorxps in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler X. There is a click that I hear and then nothing. I can wait a few minutes and then try again and it starts up fine. But if I try immediately after the clock and the gauges light up, I get nothing.

I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler rubicon. Today it ran fine going to work and home. Say an hour now won’t start. No instruments, locks or lights. Key buttons don’t lock/unlock, no horn, no panic. Brake lights work when depressing pedal. Not the battery. Any ideas?

I tried disconnecting the negative from my battery because the battery tested fine. Brake lights were working too. After a couple minutes disconnected, when I reconnected the negative, lights flashed, horn sounded like the alarm system. I believe somewhere, the alarm system thought I was trying to steal the Jeep and shut everything down. By disconnecting the battery, it reset the system and the Jeep has been driveable since.

From what I read, it would be the ignition switch to replace. More to follow!

Had the same problem with my 2010 jku, found loose ground cables on the passenger side of my engine just above the oil pan. You have to access them from under the vehicle. Never had a problem since.

My 2018 jeep Sahara no crank no start and everything came on. Replaced battery and TIPM and didn't work. After a year of dealing with it we found it was the TIPM, replaced it and haven't had a problem since.
