my 1999 Volvo V-70 It was running fine.I took it on a 120 mile freeway trip.It started to run really rough and when I accelerate it blows thick black smoke, when it levels off the smoke dissipates until I need to step on it again. It does the same thing from a stop.Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? I had the oil changed less than 300 miles ago all the other fluids are where they should be.It didn't overheat. Thanks Ed

Is there a significant loss of power? Could be the turbo, could have something to do with the PCV being clogged up, but I don't think that it would blow black smoke like that.
