How do I clear the check engine light on a 95 cabrio?

Had a coolant leak repaired at the shop. When I got the car back the check engine light was on. The mechanics said they don't know how to clear it, they tried everything including disconnecting the battery.

Did they read the code? You can clear a code but if the problem is still there the light will come back on.

Thanks, they say they did everything. I don't really want to go back there. Appreciate the answer.
you can clear it by disconnecting the battery for like 15 minutes ((remove both cables and then touch them togeather to discharge any left over current in the car)) als oyou can get a obd scanner to do it.
