The rear windows in my 1999 volkswagen cabrio will go down but will not come back up how do I fix them?

1999 Volkswagen Cabrio rear windows both went down but when I push the switch the will not come back up.  What would cause this and how do I fix it?

Wait a day or two.. LOL. Or disconnect the battery and start over, Or just enjoy the ride and all the silly quirks that it has. I have a 98 and don't know from one day to the next.. what I will be surprised with. But I still love my Cabby

Press and hold the window button at the uppermost left hand corner until the window goes up. That is how I have to do it in my 2002 Cabrio.
