when I turn my wheels to the right or left, there is a humming sound..

had the power steering pump replaced and now when I turn left or right  it
makes a humming sound.

Was the work done by a shop? If so, take it back. Could be it needs air bled out if it. (you could also try it yourself but you did pay for the service.)

thank you, Ken. MY concern is whether that shop is honest about the work they did when they installed a new power steering pump.
