How do I get my cigarette lighter to work ask a Aux outlet?

I have a 1996 and myb cigarette lighter do not work at all I have changed the
fuse still nothing I want to use it as an Aux outlet to be able to charge my
phone.

Your car is 20 years old, if you changed the fuse and the correct fuse your issue will be the wiring contact. Check for grime and gunk around that area and make sure your eyes see the wires and the cig lighter have solid contact. 20 year old Ponto's probably welded the connections I assume if you see a mini harness unplug it clean it, if you see it welded just press and torch 2 sec max Ponto's were plastic 90s stallions. (pun intended)

Determine why the old circuit is not live. If it is the socket itself, just swap it out for a new 12V outlet and begin using it for your charging needs. If it not the socket, then more troubleshooting will be needed to find the problem between it and the fuse panel. There are typically more accessories than the lighter on that circuit. Doe the others work?
