I just bought a 2002 montero sport

I just bought a 2002 montero sport when I try and drive it, it drives for about 50' feet then something drags it to a stop then a snop then it drives for a another 50' and do's it again dose it in too

You didn't test drive it before you bought it? I hope you got it for close to nothing. Could be just about anything. Have it towed to a garage to get an estimate. We can't help with the limited detail.
