I'm sure that you have this, but, just in case, http://www.airstream.com/travel-trailers/sport/floor-plans- specifications/

I would think it's dangerous if your tow vehicle were the same weight as your trailer.

Jeeps are not rated for towing much at all due to the short wheel base. The smallest trailer Airstream currently sells is the Sport which loaded would be about 3,500 pounds which is probably the max that your Jeep is rated for.

Mark, the tow vehicle can be a lot lighter than the trailer depending on what the tow truck is. My F150 can tow nearly twice its weight safely.

If you go ahead with your towing plans, get a weight distributing hitch and sway control and keep the speed down or you will end up upside down in a ditch. Get a good trailer brake controller too!

I pulled an airstream 16ft. sport from new Jersey to new mexico with absolutely no problems. 75 or 80 mph wasn't an issue. I have a 2014 wrangler unlimited sport with towing capacity of 3500 lbs. The airstream sport weighs 2800 lbs empty. If you add 700 lbs, that's a lot of crap in a small trailer. I'm sure the jeep can pull more than 3500 lbs though.

We have 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2 door . The manual said towing capacity is 2000 pounds . Looking at little guy mini max 2000 pounds . Would it be safe to purchase ?

You have to look at the loaded weight of the trailer, not just the empty weight.

It's less about whether a vehicle can *tow* a specific weight but whether it can stop it. "Safe stopping capacity" would be a better rating.
