MAF sensor

Asked by GuruTGSWK Jul 28, 2018 at 06:41 PM about the Subaru Outback

Question type: Car Customization

2010 Subaru outback, I changed the MAF sensor from stock to Jet
Performance...and car kept stalling while at ital Changed back to stock and car
runs normal.
The change was to help with some performance, is it common for an
aftermarket sensor to do that, and how to fix that. Or was it just a waste of
money?lol

So far a waste of money. I am guessing the MAF you installed may be for a Turbo car. Changing out the MAF would not increase power on a stock naturally aspirated engine.
