Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a new starter and ignition switch and a
starter solenoid... But it won't start... Will start
when I jump the starter solenoid... Why

Need to check and see if 12 Volts is coming threw the small wire that activates the solenoid when you turn the key to start. May be a starter relay, or the ignition switch not adjusted just right.

theres a rod on top of the steering colem that breaks so it can't push enough to activate the starter to crank over
