what type of grand prix do i have

i have a 01 grand pric the badge on the side of the
car says gt but the title says its a gtp how can I tell
what it is

The GT and GTP shared similar options. One option that only came on the GTP was a performance shift button on the shifter that raised the transmission shift points. So if you have that, you have GTP.

If the eighth character of the VIN is the letter K it's a GT with the 3.8L V6 naturally aspirated. If you have a number 1 in that position it's a GTP with the 3.8L V6 supercharged engine. The supercharged engine was only available in the GTP. Hope that helps! Jim
