Heater core

I have a 2005 Ford Freestar I don't have no
problem with the heat it is not overheating
but I have a sweetness smell of antifreeze
and when I put my heater on defroster it
mucks up the inside of my windshield

I have the same problem but it also leaks when running for a while , would that be the heater core

I have a Ford freestar a 2005 my patent side window won't go down they say it is the the motor in the driver side how can I fix that
