The Land Rover Range Rover Electric is the brand’s first electric vehicle, though it uses the current Range Rover design. It takes on the Cadillac Escalade IQ, the Genesis GV90, the Lucid Gravity, and the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV.

What’s New for the 2027 Land Rover Range Rover Electric
The Range Rover Electric swaps out the luxury SUV’s gas or plug-in hybrid powertrain for pure-electric power, but otherwise has the same trims and features. That gives it a varied lineup that starts around $140,000 and extends to a quarter-million dollars. It has reduced towing capacity versus models with an internal combustion engine, but can still tow and has Range Rover’s signature off-road capability.
Design
The Range Rover Electric looks only subtly different from gas-powered models, which is to say it’s elegant. It doesn’t try to be macho; it just is. The Range Rover sports clean lines on the classic two-box shape, with smooth flanks, flush door handles, and no unnecessary flourishes. The nose features a high-set and somewhat shallow grille flanked by rectangular headlights and underscored by a simple lower air intake in a rectangular shape. The sides have darkened glass and the only bit of flair is a vertical air vent at the back of each front fender. A raked rear window line pairs with a standard roof spoiler for a dynamic look. The rear end has a simple rectangular shape with three sides in black and one in metallic trim. Standard 21-inch wheels with available 22s ground this large SUV without going excessively large.
Powertrain
The Range Rover Electric comes standard with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain that makes 542 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. It can launch the vehicle from 0–60 mph in 4.3 seconds, and can tow 5,511 pounds, down from 8,200 pounds in the gas models. While the Range Rover Electric is not yet EPA-rated, Land Rover quotes 333 miles of range from its 118.5-kWh battery. Range Rover says its electric SUV can charge from 0–100% in nine hours using a 19.2-kW onboard charger or 15 hours with a 9.6-kW onboard charger. It can also DC fast charge from 10–80% in 22 minutes on a 350-kW charger or add 125 miles in 10 minutes.
Interior
The Range Rover Electric offers the choice of a four-seat or five-seat layout in both standard-wheelbase and long-wheelbase forms, with the four-seater having luxurious second-row seats, referred to as Executive Class. While the long-wheelbase gas model is available with seven seats, this isn’t an option for the electric version. Leather upholstery comes standard, and drivers can also choose synthetic leather or softer semi-aniline leather. A Premium Interior Upgrade package extends the leather to additional interior surfaces. Also standard are 20-way power-adjustable front seats, seat heating and ventilation, and tri-zone automatic climate control. Heated rear seats with power recline are also standard, and buyers can opt for 24-way power front seats with massagers, plus ventilated rear seats.
Technology
Like other Range Rovers, the Electric version has a standard 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch touchscreen that runs the brand’s Pivi Pro infotainment system with an AI assistant and navigation with real-time traffic information. Also standard are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, a wireless smartphone charger, a one-year Online Pack with a data plan, and a one-year Wi-Fi data plan. It also gets a standard Meridian 15-speaker audio system, and buyers can upgrade to 19-speaker or 35-speaker Meridian systems, plus another Meridian system with 21 lightweight electrostatic speakers. Other available features include a rear-camera mirror, a head-up display, and a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 11.4-inch screens.
