The Genesis GV70 debuted in the 2022 model year as an all-new compact luxury SUV. The GV70 targets traditional German luxury SUVs such as the BMW X3, the Audi Q5, and the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, but also competes against the Lexus NX, the Acura RDX, and the Volvo XC60. The 2027 Genesis GV70 offers seven trim levels: 2.5T, 2.5T Select, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Sport Prestige, 3.5T Sport, 3.5T Sport Prestige, and 3.5T Prestige Graphite.

What’s New for the 2027 Genesis GV70
The Genesis GV70 received a mid-cycle refresh in 2026, which included a revised front end, new wheel designs, and a 27-inch OLED panoramic display replacing the former split screens. While there are few changes design-wise for the 2027 model year, the GV70 adds a new top-tier Prestige Graphite trim with blacked-out exterior accents, red brake calipers, Ultramarine Nappa leather seats with suede inserts, carbon fiber interior accents, and a unique interior startup animation. There are also two new paint colors exclusive to this trim: Ceres Blue Matte and Bering Blue.
Design
The 2027 Genesis GV70 features sleek, sporty proportions, long hood lines, and a distinctive split headlight design. Standard wheels are 19 inches on all trims except Sport Prestige and Prestige Graphite, which use unique 21-inch wheels. The GV70 offers a few exterior accessories, such as side steps and roof rack crossbars, but there are no appearance packages.
Powertrain
The Genesis GV70 is available only in all-wheel-drive (AWD) guise and has two powertrains for the 2027 model year: a base 300-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-four and a 375-hp 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and premium fuel is recommended. The 2.5T models deliver an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city, and most trims return 28 mpg on the highway. The 2.5T Sport Prestige is the only trim rated at 26 mpg on the highway, while 3.5T models deliver 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The maximum towing capacity for both powertrains is 3,500 pounds.

Interior
The interior of the 2027 GV70 is elegantly styled with strong attention to detail, and even though the dash is punctuated by a large screen, there are still plenty of buttons and dials for common controls. Leatherette seats are standard, while leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats become standard on the 2.5T Advanced trim. A panoramic sunroof is not available on the base trim but is standard on the 2.5T Select. The GV70 is a five-passenger SUV that offers above-average cargo space with 28.9 cubic feet behind the second row and a maximum cargo volume of 56.9 cubic feet.
Technology
For all its elegance, the 2027 GV70 is packed with technology. It comes standard with a 27-inch OLED screen that spans the dash and houses both the digital cluster and the infotainment screen. Other standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, adjustable ambient lighting, Genesis Connected services, a fingerprint authentication system, a Wi-Fi hotspot with a 90-day trial subscription, and an auto-open liftgate. Available tech features include three-zone climate control, a head-up display, a massaging driver’s seat, a surround-view camera system, remote smart park, phone-as-a-key capability, and a wireless phone charger.
