Ive been driving my 2010 Mazda MAZDA3 for a few years now, and it has exceeded all my expectations. This car perfectly balances practicality with a spirited driving experience. The handling is superb, making it incredibly fun to drive, especially on winding roads. The 2.0-liter engine is peppy and responsive, delivering a good blend of performance and fuel efficiency.Jun 14, 2024

The second gen (2010-2013) Mazda3 is an absolutely terrific car. It is super fun to drive, easy to maintain, and reliable--exactly what you want. If youre skeptical, test drive one and I bet youll change your mind.May 15, 2024

Love the car except it doesnt have automatic headlights. . Also no driver side arm rest - miss that from my last car. Also, previous owner had tinting put on - way too dark, hard to see out back windshield at night, will be taking that off. Other than that, LOVE the car, love how it drives.Dec 25, 2023

Love Mazda 3s! Reliable and long lasting, easy to drive, snazzy looking inside and outside, not too small but not too big, I love the hatchback version, but overall great car that I would reccommend anyone to purchase! May 19, 2023

The 2012 Mazda3 i Touring Hatchback has just the right blend of features and practicality, all while getting about 36 MPG combined. The car is very reliable and has only needed the transmission control module replaced, and maintaining the car yourself is fairly easy if you have some ramps at home. My only complaints about this car are the interior buttons, some of which have stopped working or function intermittently, and the seat comfort. I previously owned a Nissan Altima, and the seats are much less comfortable in the Mazda for longer road trips, especially for someone who’s on the taller side. Between the sedan and hatchback, I would definitely recommend the hatchback for more space, though the sedan has an adequate size trunk. I enjoy having Bluetooth and the well layed-out steering wheel controls, though I wish I had opted for a model that had push-button start and keyless entry, which isn’t standard. Overall, the car is great for someone with a mid range commute (30-45 minutes), has plenty of space for everyday needs and the occasional road-trip, and has great features and styling for a relatively inexpensive economy car. Minor cosmetic issues but that is to expected being that it is 11 years old. Car does not seem 11 years old though. This Mazda has a lot of features from...navigation, hands free talk, nice bose stereo system, sunroof, excellent heated seats and so much more. Drove over 300 mi couple days after purchasing and the car delivered everything that Mazda promotes. Very good gas milage. My daughters said, this car is really comfortable. Fun little car to drive as well. Does very good in the mountains
My next car will be a Mazda 3Sep 30, 2022

Dont get the skyactiv engine its not fun to drive its super slow on the take off and you can feel the gears shifting which Im not a fan of. If you get the regular engine its the funnest car in the world! I think the last model with the regular engine is the 2013. The skyactiv ones say it on the back there is a little badge Mar 23, 2022

I'm so glad I bought this car. Handles really well and feels like a sports car yet the MPG is that of a much smaller more innocent looking vehicle.
The internal features with blue tooth for audio streaming and hands free calls, are fantastic.
By far the most satisfying car I've ever owned.Jun 07, 2014

The new SkyActiv technology is incredible. I have driven 250 miles 80% highway 20% city and am averaging 39 MPG! I love the Mazda3 styling inside and out. The color is beautiful. Inside everything is really great too. I am learning all about the Bluetooth system and Its amazing being able to play my music over the stereo as well and send and receive calls. The handling is outstanding as well.Jan 24, 2014

This is a fantastic car. I love the way it looks inside and out. The slogan "zoom zoom" definitely applies and makes the car fun to drive. It has great modern features like bluetooth technology for cellphones. The fuel economy is pretty decent, running about 25 mpg on average.
Something that I wish could be fixed is the storage space. It has very limited storage space. Even though the back seats fold down, the seats are at a slight up angle. It doesn't lie flat. Also, the opening from trunk to back seat is small. So, something that fits the width of the trunk won't necessarily fit all the way into the car because the opening to the seats from the trunk is too small.
Overall though, this is a great car that has done well for me for the last three years. Jan 03, 2014

Still have a lot to learn about the new car, but I am pleased with the technology like the screen that shows you current gas mileage and integrated bluetooth. Love the keyless entry buttons on the doors and push to start without use of the key.Jul 25, 2013

The mazda 3 is an amazing little car. It is very good for city driving and can handle the highways really good. The fuel economy is not the best in its class. The interiors however are the best in its class.Oct 02, 2012

The shifting and steering is definitely Miata inspired. This along with some decent cargo capacity and gas mileage are the finest points to this car. Oh, and the value is hard to beat when anything worth buying is closer or over 20K.Aug 26, 2012

This car looks great, handles well, has way more storage capacity than it looks like it would, excellent visibility, but only so-so on the gas mileage.
It's something that I'm alright with, I would trade the few mpg to be able to punch the gas and instantly go.Aug 14, 2012

The 2010 Mazda3 is great little car. It has a very good pickup with superb handling. The ride is a little noisy. The car is very reliable. So far I did not have to do any big maintenance on the car.Jun 06, 2012

Purchased at the end of Feb 2011 with 28 miles, now at the end of Dec 2011 I have over 20,000 miles. I have a 50 mile ride to work oneway. so I spend a lot of time in my car.
Performance - Plenty of power for passing on the highway
Build Quality - The car has no noticable squeeks or rattles as of yet
Cost of Ownership - I get about 27 mpg mostly highway
Fun Factor - 6 speed manual is a lot of funDec 25, 2011

Best-in-class engine performance that harms fuel economy. Mazda is resolving that
detriment in the next generation of engines. Firm but not punishing ride with
handling that stands up to my A4's. Clean and functional inside and out. Build
quality is very good and it is a very fun car to drive. I care nothing for prestige or
size so this is a great car for me. Oct 24, 2011

It's a nice little car. A bit underpowered and the interior noise is quite bad. But it's pretty responsive and handles quite well. The interior features are good. It's quite cheap and for the money this car is pretty good. You won't be racing anyone in this, but it's still pretty fun to drive, especially if you get it with the manual transmission. May 18, 2011

This car is phenomenal. Though it only has 167 Hp this car can beat a Corvette, Mustangs, and even some AMGs and M series. Its fully loaded and has everything that luxury brands have but at a Mazda price. I would say that the closest competitor to this car would have to be a Lexus IS in terms of looks, performance, luxuries, etc. but I would choose this car over the IS any day. Oct 07, 2009

Above average ride quality( sporty and firm) with a properly weighted steering. Accleration could be better on the low end by adding 20 to 30 extra horses.Still manages Low 7 sec 0 to 60MPH. Manual gear is above average with short and direct throw. Gets little balky when it is warmed up. Typical front wheel drive understeer through out tight to long radius turns. Easily modulated with the throttle.Jul 11, 2009
