Buick Regal (2011 - 2016) Reviews, Pricing & Specs

This car ran like a dream for its first 100k or so miles, but once it hit that 100k, its been problem after problem. Ive had the entire transmission rebuilt, as it started slipping, and it has continued to throw up other issues with the engine since then. My first car was an old 05 Buick Lacrosse, and that thing was built like a tank; it was in multiple accidents and didnt give out until well over 250k miles with just basic maintenance. This one pales in comparison. Its a nice ride, for sure, with nice features, decent-ish gas mileage, and like I said, its great until you hit that 100k mark. Once you hit it, be prepared for many problems back to back.Jun 06, 2024

Bought a used Buick Regal 2016 Premium II 2.0T with 32k miles for about $16.5K. 1 owner, Clean Car fax, and no damage. I think it was a great value! About a year later and Ive put 11k miles on it and its value has barley dropped, even with the additional owner on the car fax! All the amenities from a top luxury car in 2016 except cooled seats in that particular model. Very comftroable and smooth ride. 259 hp with the 2.0T is very peppy and I was suprised with the minimal Turbo Lag. It is much more sporty with premium, but if money is tight for a little bit, it runs without a problem on regular with slightly reduced hp. I drive mainly backroads and town and get 22 mpg pretty consistently, but it does get up to 30+ on the highway if you fill it with premium and are more conservitve with your speeding. Jun 19, 2020

I bought this car with great anticipation, although I do thoroughly like this car and would recommend Buick as a great car company, I do not LOVE this vehicle. The newer models are AWD and this is front wheel. It would have made more sense to make the GS model in rear wheel. Also it is very pricey with less options. The major flaw out of all the amenities is the lack of a back up camera. The car has great handling and very little understeer. Sep 22, 2014

Awesome car! The handling of this car is amazing. It's tight and takes to corners like it's riding on rails. Build quality if first rate, joints are tight and the materials look and feel like a more expensive vehicle. I've driven a lot of much more expensive vehilce in Europe and this car could easily be compared with them. Th non-turbo version is slower than others, but more than enough for daily driving.Nov 19, 2010
