Very smooth quick car. Lovely to drive, extremely solid chassis. Easily tuned up, Defo could use a remap to 200bhp. Handles very well. Would only recommend the turbo or TDI 1.9. Standard models seem to boring and fairly gutless. Excellent car for money though. Recommend especially to womenJun 03, 2012

The perfect car for a student. Especially with the diesel engines. Perfect performance, low fuel consumption. The only minor problem is that sometimes the spare parts of Audi are not that cheap as those of other car makers. A good car overall.Nov 02, 2010

Cheap hot hatch.
1.8 turbo bullet proof engine, easy to modify and upgrade cheaply.
Good handling, ride, build quality and very, very reliable.
Petrol not to bad, average 25 MPG combined thrashing and easy.
Prefer this original model as is lighter and more basic.Aug 06, 2009

no compaints apart from it can be expensive to run, so much potential with these cars you wouldnt believe, pretty much anything is possible! Aslong as ya got the money that is! go for the a3 1.8t or s3 for best resultsJun 27, 2009

Performance wise you are best off with the 1.8T version. Build quality is great, as Audi should be. Excellent handling, also in winter conditions. Starts without any problem, even if it is -20 outside. Too many over-tuned versions on the street though... Feb 05, 2009

It is a nice car, actually nice might be an understatement. This is a 1.8T automatic. The vehicle is very good, extremely study build quaility, good performance and good mileage. The car is fun to drive but understeers a lot, a problem seen in most other Audis of that era. The turning circle is not a big one but it is sufficient, the thing that bugs me a bit is that when you are sitting behind the wheel the car seems bigger than it actually is. In time you get used to that. We installed a direct injection LPG power and the car runs extremely smooth, we get 12/100 l. intown and 9/100 l. outside of the city. The parts are expensive as with all Audis.Jan 13, 2009

Tis is the wifes car and it is an awsome little family car, 1.9 tdi runs like its new and gets respectable MPG. Only thing is that damn armrest Audi must have had a bad day when designing that bit.Dec 15, 2008

I think this car is great bacause i never had to take it to the mechanic. It has amaizing start. it can do about 100km an hour in 1 gear. It doesn't look it's best from inside. This car is fun to drive because it is very easy to control it.Sep 06, 2008

The Audi A3 1,8 Turbo drives great, but is a little noisy. It has become expensive to drive and maintain, so I do not use it as much as I would like to. First car I ever bought. It is black and easy to recognize because of the FC Copenhagen sticker on the back. ;o)Aug 01, 2008

Despite its 2-door hatchback construction, it's a pretty versatile little car. Looks sporty, but it's just an ordinary transportation unit...Jul 05, 2008

Good value for money. My car is 7 years old now and still looks brand new. Never had a mojor problem (touch wood) en the interior has been well looked after.
Its performance is very good and can go about 210km/h and from 0-100 in 10 sec. Jan 21, 2008
