Does what I need it to but not built for speed or long journeys. Easy to live with very cheap to run and maintain. Fairly easy to work on allthough does have it's problems. Overall has been very loyal. One of the last proper old fashioned motor carsJan 18, 2013

Just remember WHY I bought this. It's sole purpose in life is to get me to and from
the steelworks in a reasonably economical fashion. It has NO looks, it has NO
appeal AND it's a FORD....... but the price was right.Sep 19, 2011

Very cheap and reliable car, I drove a lot of miles in this car and it never let me down with any expensive problems, cheap tyres and very economical, a good car that is very sorely missed. I loved her very much.Aug 28, 2009

I learned to drive in this and being a diesel it practicaly drove itself. I made a fortune with this car delivering pizzas for years. Being a Fiesta, performance is'nt really an issue but it did have a 1.8 Diesel so it was fast enough. Jan 06, 2009

My first car! Learnt to drive in it and had i for a year. Never broke down or cost me any money but they were pretty much the only good things i can say about it!
Was slow, noisy, rattled, felt like it was gonna tip over round corners!
Could do 90mph down really steep hills though!

well the performance was average but first gear was like a little f1 it was a 3 speed. build quality... it was ford so i had to write it off. lol. it was purple which is probably the worlds greatest colour. cost... cheap. one liter to 10km. i had to fix the carbi. oh yeah tires where like $60 each so it didnt hurt to drive a little crazyAug 26, 2008

Just bought a 1993 Fiesta XR2i. Has a 1.8 16V engine, being a light car its pretty quick. Acceleration is very good, although not much of a top end. For a 15year old car which has done over 100K its in very good condition and the engine still pulls. A well built car, only problem is they rust round the petrol cap. Would recommend this car to anyone that likes old hot hatches, such as. Golf GTIs, and 205 GTis.

Ford Fiesta RS Turbo. A good fun car to drive, really well bolted together, very fast and easy to mod the engine to go even faster. Cheap to run and quite a good looking car, although the three spokes are very 90's now. A good all round fun machine, slightly faster than the escort RS turbo also.Jul 24, 2008

You won't get there fast and you won't have much fun unless you have a death wish, but you will get there and if something brakes it'll be cheap to replace.Apr 30, 2008

Small and unimpressive looking but an all round brilliant motor! Perfect for new drivers as its reliable, compact, cheap to run & cheap to insure.
Comes with lesser known off-road skills (mine cleared a ditch & sirvived!) and can also have the element of surprise at the lights if you boot it hard enough! Not a sexy car but a practical one.Apr 02, 2008

This car was built to rally and belive me it does. Get it lowered by 70mm and its like driving a go kart, its so much fun.
They can be customed to any look you like and there is never two that look identical.Mar 31, 2008

A fiesta is a car everybody knows, the positives of its popularity is the easiness of getting replacment parts however it means they are not very valuable because they are so many around. This has a 1.8 diesel engine similar to the escorts just without turbo. The car is a bit sluggish at getting going however it has no problems in hitting 100mph. The car heater is magnificent the car is nice and warm within 2-3 minutes which is a good way to bust those cold morning starts.Jan 02, 2008
